Carol is a facilitator, researcher and entrepreneur committed to social impact. She has a deep belief in listening, dialogue and collective knowledge construction. She has been a facilitator for over 20 years, having contributed to the development of strategic planning and theory of change for several Brazilian human rights organizations. She also has experience as a researcher in participatory social impact assessment.
As co-founder and director at Taturana, a social organization that implements impact strategies for films, Carol developed impact campaigns for many films, including Enough with Catcalling, Your Turn, Seeds: Black women in Power and Threshold. She also offered mentoring and workshops for impact campaign development. Her work contributed to the field of impact production in Brazil.
Prior to that, she worked at the outreach department of Canal Futura, an educational TV channel in Brazil, and as coordinator at Museu da Pessoa, a museum of life stories where she worked with digital storytelling methodology.
Carol has a Master’s degree in Visual Anthropology and Media from Freie University, degrees in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo and International Relations from PUC São Paulo and a postgraduate degree in African History from UCAM. She is an experienced facilitator certified in the “Training of Moderators: Design and Facilitation of Group Discussion Processes.”
